I studied electronics and continued to work every day while my MBA/PhD brother was sucking wind for over two years back in the Obama crash. College isn’t for everyone. We certainly don’t need people who will borrow hundreds of thousands of dollars to obtain a degree that ends in “studies”.
It's not. Unfortunately, a great many jobs today require a college degree, even if it's in basketweaving as long as you have a diploma. Pretty much every white-collar job. This didn't used to be the case.

I stumbled upon a Reddit called “antiwork”. Reading was genuinely depressing. So many young people are so far underwater with college debt. It’s hard to say who scammed them. Their parents? Teaching them “everyone’s a winner” for the last 35 years? Their high schools? Society itself? The kids themselves? How much common sense can you actually expect out of 17 year olds these days, and why is that so?
