Now, if only Omicron will displace Delta the way Delta displaced Beta and friends ... the end could be in sight? As in it will be more like milder strains of influenza, with need to protect the elderly and those in fragile health, but no more lock downs (which did not work anyway) and all the rest?
Let’s hope but since lockdowns and mask mandates are political not medical who knows what the politicians will do
