Most politicians are sociopaths; devoid of any conscience or soul. Their only goal is power by any means necessary. That this proposal violates human rights is irrelevant. It must poll well enough, or they think it does, that they propose it to assuage the hysterical populace.

Whenever this mass formation psychosis blows over, these same politicians will deny they ever proposed such a draconian law. The majority of sheep, lacking long term memory, won’t remember.

Sad to say, I agree with you.

I am currently reading “They Thought They Were Free, the Germans, 1933-45” by Milton Mayer, University of Chicago Press, 1955.

It details how many "nice" people came to kill -- too easily.

Whether Mattias Desmet’s “mass formation psychosis", after Gustave Le Bon — a search engine will find good summaries — or the early “Memoirs of Extraordinary Popular Delusions” by Charles Mackay, 1852 —

— or Douglas Murray;s 2019 work, The Madness of Crowds, we are seeing madness of some sort.

Keeping people ill-informed and panicked has been the aim of major media and politicians the world over.

Given your observation that so many seem “sociopaths,” I think a new distinction should be made between “essential” and “non-essential” workers in a time of crisis.

I suggest that the “non-essential” workers are in government. After all it is they who have decided that what once were essential workers in healthcare became by fiat non-essential based merely on the obedience to accept — first by gaslighting and then by attempts to mandate — a phase three clinical trial mRNA product(s) without manufactuerers’ legal liabilities.

Discarding the once-essential, the governments have proven themselves “non-essential.” So it seems.

Sociopaths, and non-essential. Politics' too many cooks spoiling the social broth.
