My car is in the shop, so haven’t shopped since last week. I usually buy the store brand in my little town & always keep 3-4 bricks in fridge at all times - much cheaper. Haven’t any trouble finding before car drama.
Here’s a recipe for “creole” cream cheese I’ve not made yet. This is cream cheese my Grandma & I would devour. It came in a round paper container similar to old timey milk containers - the thick paper waxed ones. Acadiana Dairy went out of biz long ago. Recipe is from 1928. Don’t recall if Grandma used this to cook with, i.e. Cheesecake, but man it’s delicious with sugar. Rennet can be purchased from evil Amazon, possibly specialty stores. I may give this a go just for grins, though hesitant I’ll end up eating the whole thing :D

Cream cheese keeps showing up with regularity in our ice box. As soon as we get low two new boxes show up. Can’t figure it out.
Schreiber Foods did suffer a debilitating cyber attack in October. I know this is true because I have a friend who works there. Not sure how CNN is tying Philadelphia cream cheese into the story though? Yesterday I shopped at my local Sam’s club and purchased a two pack of Philadelphia cream cheese... no shortage here.
Our local Aldi (Baltimore-Washington area) has both cream cheese and Mascarpone (Italian cream cheese).
