In my previous post I limited the verses to save a little space. Here's verse 4:

Those who couldn't find the way were looking on Mt. Nebo, in the wrong place. There's the problem right there.
Same reason why no one knows the location of Moses grave til this day, when it's right there on find-a-grave.
“The place shall remain unknown until God gathers his people together again and shows his mercy. Then the Lord will disclose these things, and the glory of the Lord and the cloud will appear, as they were shown in the case of Moses, and as Solomon asked that the place should be specially consecrated.”
King David is the blueprint for the ideal king of all Israel because he was a righteous "dude" [דוד]... a whole-hearted regular guy after God's own heart, in stark contrast to the kings of every other nation [who are better than everyone else]. He'd give you the shirt off his back. His son is about to show everyone exactly how that's done.
David had the best vision for the grand Temple for the name* of the Lord God of Israel in the middle of JerUSAlem, the city of David on the hill.
