Yet despite the influx North Carolina has remained purple with a lot more blue base than red. The Triangle, Asheville and Mecklenburg County have a lot of Red, but still enough Blue in those areas to remain purple. Smaller cities throughout the state and along the Crystal Coast remain Conservative. The influx makes us seem bipolar, but our legislation's are deep blue, the Governor is Red but the very popular LT Governor is a black Conservative. There is an old adage about politics being local. Worse than what the Congressional backlash in 2022, look for more State Houses to go to GOP. That is even a bigger problem for the RATS.
