Antibody Test Experience….
I happened on Grandpa Drudge’s post #32 on this thread https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/3996481/posts last week. My husband had been searching for a way to get his antibodies tested. Monday 12/13 we doctor shopped and found a clinic that would give us the virus antibody test. (Incredible that we had to shop, but neither of our doctors or the hospital would test.)
We both got the 1st Pfizer vaccine Jan 29, 2021 and Feb 8 we both tested positive for Covid-19. We both had, I think, a moderate case. There were about 4 bad days but both pulled out without any severe side effects other than loss of taste and smell which recovered after 2 weeks. Neither of us had any drugs other than NAC, Zinc, Vit C & D. I took Quercetin but he did not, he had a prescribed antihistamine.
At our appointment we were very specific about which test and finally got through. They were very skeptical that we would even have any antibodies from the length of time and after a vaccine. We never took another vaccine after the virus. (I guess we are in another control group – 1 vaccine + virus). We have traveled quite a bit this year as we have been to NC to the beach and our kids live in Dallas and Chicago and have not been sick.
Our test results versus the Ref Range (Neg <13.0) My result was 41.4 and Hubby’s was 49. The nurse calling said we had 3x’s what was considered the top for antibodies, 13. She said we were in good shape! Yea! All this time I’ve been fighting folks about getting that 2nd vaccine and I’m sooo glad I didn’t! Thank you so much Grandpa Drudge!
