Any Cadet or Midshipman who chanted “Let’s Go Brandon” would be subject to a court martial...just like that Marine Colonel.

But the rest of the audience / the rest of the spectators would have been free to chant it.

That's true.However,there would always be the possibility that a Cadet or Midshipman would be accused of chanting if someone near him/her was doing so. In my illustrious (cough,cough) Army career I never ran afoul of the UCMJ but I was always aware that it was there...waiting to pounce!
