Bad is a quality ...
A fairly recent thing in management jargon is "velocity".
Zero is a velocity. A velocity can be negative. In the case of "best practices" fad driven management, "velocity" in the wrong direction isn't uncommon.
Somewhere in the mid 1990s, it suddenly became acceptable, even expected to misuse the term “Quality” ,as in
“We only work with quality manufacturers!”.
I’m not a trained editor, but I instantly saw this as a misuse of that adjective.
Nobody seemed to notice or care about it except for me. Another one was saying
“Preven-ta-tive” instead of “Preventive”.
Again, nobody seemed to care about it but me.
It’s not a hill I plan to die on, but I still find the misuse somewhat disturbing.
