Definitely not man made, but we are in a crazy weather pattern the last five years. Hope it evens out soon.
Per NPR a few months ago:
"The position of the jet stream also appears to have an impact on tornadoes and which parts of the country are more likely to experience them. During La NiƱa winters, the jet stream and severe weather are likely to be farther north."
NPR's graphic even shows the Jet Stream near the area of the Tornado's, which is a component of large Tornado Outbreaks:

My theory is that the wind mill farms disrupt the prevailing westerlies.
