Kids self-diagnose these days. Some of them collect more than one. Kids today get PTSD because they had to ride the bus to school.
The usual pattern when a pendulum is out of balance, then released, it will swing past neutral into “are u effin kidding me” range the other direction before it gets moderated.
I think that is part of what’s happening here. I do know that some of the young men I work with on the spiritual side are getting some therapies that damm near sound like voodoo to me, but produce results. The state of treatment for PTSD and other psychological challenges is much more advanced than when I was trying to get my s—t together in the late 80’s. A lot more effective, efficient, and specific these days.
