My Washington state county of about 70000+ had 25 car thefts in one week and 500 through October. It is a very liberal county (Olympia is the major city)

Olympia (which is, incidentally, also the state capital) is located in Thurston County.

Thurston County has a population of 252,264 (2010 Census) - hardly "70,000+."

Your statements are thus inconsistent with the facts.
