This point is technical but critical. The above statement does not necessarily draw the conclusion that high blood glucose is the culprit in cancer. Yes, type 2 diabetics are 3.5 times as likely to have cancer as the general population. However, T2 Diabetes is defined by, BUT NOT CAUYSED BY, high blood glucose levels. T2D is caused by cells failing to import glucose from the blood. So this study shows that cancer can be related either to the lack of cellular energy or to the oversupply of blood glucose. Other research points directly at the broken cellular energy engine as the culprit in cancer. That says that the exercise cited as a cancer avoidance solution does not avoid cancer by clearing the blood of glucose, but by restarting the cellular energy engine.
I blame fructose, lectins, glutamate and sedentary lifestyles. And this research helps confirm my theory.
