John Phillips was a horrible human being but he wrote quite a few iconic songs and his vocal arranging was second to no one.
Although “California Dreaming” was a catalyst for me to move from Ohio to Hollywood with the petite blonde (literal) “girl next door”, the song “Even If I Could” is a hidden gem and my favorite M&P song.
Fun fact...I read somewhere Cass had a 165 IQ to go with her powerful voice.
