The Salvation Army has withdrawn its controversial "Let's Talk About ... Racism" guide following criticism and donor backlash over the text that asked white supporters of the charity group to deliver "sincere" apologies for their race and the past sins of the Church.
As a result of some of the guide's more extreme positions becoming public, donors and supporters across the country have been rescinding their support of the organization.
In a statement titled "The Salvation Army's Response to False Claims on the Topic of Racism," the 156-year-old organization denies that the purpose of the guide or subsequent discussions revolving around the guide were meant to tell anyone "how to think." However, the group has also opted to withdraw the guide for "appropriate review."
The group is perhaps best known for collecting coins and paper money in red kettles outside of stores during the Christmas holiday season with a member ringing a bell.
The statement, in part, also reads: "The Salvation Army occasionally publishes internal study guides on various complex topics to help foster positive conversations and grace-filled reflection among Salvationists. By openly discussing these issues, we always hope to encourage the development of a more thoughtful organization that is better positioned to support those in need. But no one is being told how to think. Period."
Bullshit. Try selling this crap elsewhere. Not in the United States.

and believe it or not, I only ate there at CFA ONCE. And that one time, someone offered to buy my meal so I said sure. That was around 2017 before it came out they were lefty.

What they said is true, youre just focusing on the wrong part. It wasnt to tell you how to think, it was to encourage anti-white racism.
CFA has nice and clean bathrooms for a fast food joint. I’m sure ladies appreciate that. Nothing else extraordinary in my opinion. Yet I see sheep waiting in long lines every morning for them here in Florida. No thanks.

The fact that they have an International Social Justice Commission at all speaks volumes about the penetration of “wokeness” into the Salvation Army.
The real truth-tellers are the guidelines for staff performance evaluations and for grant proposal submissions. If found to be insufficiently woke in either of those areas, the person, proposal, or both are doomed.

Yup. Hopefully most everyone will donate elsewhere. Churches and food pantries are the most direct with no admin overhead.
Yup. You spend generations building respect, lose it in one stupid moment that reveals who you really are—or are not.
St Jude is a regular monthly donation for us. At Christmas it’s been SalvArmy and local things. This year was an old friend who’s trying so hard to keep her above water.
Repent to God alone for whatever was done by past generations. If you haven’t done it, don’t apologize.
