May I ask how you get online on the sailboat, and how it affects power draw?? 4G, or satellite?
It’s a good question! Right now, we have a Verizon Mifi, hotspots on our phone, and, the marina WiFi (when it works). We have had to use a WiFi Extender for the marina wifi and it still doesn’t work that well. We’ve been in other places where it worked great.
In future, we’ll probably get Starlink (when it’s out of Beta) and we’ll get wifi worldwide.
As for power usage, according to the battery monitor, we pull, on average, 124ah a day. That includes running: water, propane, lights, laptops, phone chargers, a small TV and a small refrigeration unit.
We’ve 300ah of lithium and 660w of Solar. We also have a 2200 watt Gen for cloudy days (and to run the water maker).
We MAY put in another battery and get bigger panels one day, but, we’re doing fine now.
