I think sodas are not just unhealthy, but the data is strong that they hit our brains’ reward centers like a drug. Why do people drink themselves fat and ill on sodas? Because it rewires our brains to do it.

If you think you are immune to the sugar bomb in soda, then great. You do you.

Yes, the sugar high is addictive and addictions do re-wire our brains. I'm not disputing that. Just saying the occasional diet Coke in the summer after working around the yard creates no constant craving for me. Now, Captain Morgan's spice rum is another thing...ha.
