Ghislaine Maxwell’s ‘degrading’ list of staff rules revealed in court
NY Post ^ | 12-3-21 | Lee Brown

Ghislaine Maxwell kept a 58-page list of rules that ordered staff at Jeffrey Epstein’s estates to “see nothing, hear nothing, say nothing” — and to always make sure the couple had a gun nearby at night.

The accused madam’s sex-trafficking trial got to see the “Maxwell Household Manual” on Thursday as former housekeeper Juan Alessi testified about the “very degrading” way staff were treated.

The 2005 manual — which was entered into evidence — showed the lengths Maxwell, the 59-year-old “lady of the house,” went to in ensuring that Epstein’s mansion in Palm Beach, Fla., was “like a five-star hotel.”

Staff needed to “anticipate the needs of Mr. Epstein, Ms. Maxwell and their guests,” stated the introduction of the manual, which made clear that disgraced media baron Robert Maxwell’s daughter was sharing the master bedroom with the perverted moneyman at the time.

It looks like the instructions to service oriented staff at any high end hotel, resort, ship, or air charter service. I don’t see why the NYPost thinks it is “degrading”.

Was "never look us in the eyes" one of the rules?

Pretty much the standard rules when dealing with high end clients. May not be your or my cup of tea but it’s nothing unusual.

That’s true. I worked at a five-star resort in Hawaii and the rules were much like these. We had royalty, Hollywood moguls, celebrities, and such and their demands were insane. Everything about every guest was hush-hush or no more job.

On a day-to-day basis, appearance had to be what “old money” would think acceptable. Only one ring on a hand (wedding set = one ring), no dangling earrings, one bracelet on a wrist (watch = a bracelet), one necklace only, earrings no larger than a dime, etc.

Maxwell must have cut & paste the rule book from Chelsea Clinton’s NBC contract.

The most important fact about this trial has not come out. Why did Epstein run a message parlor. Everything else is unimportant. Really, underage sex, famous clients, everything does not matter as much as why a billionaire decides to go into the message parlor business... three times. He risks jail, and isolation and lot of money. He does not need money. But he still goes into a two bit business. What did he get out of it. His own sex benefit did not need all those girls. And he did not need a plane and an island. He did not need more than one message table, but he had several. He had cameras everywhere. So you figure it was for blackmail. But what good is an ex-president? Unless it was because his wife could be president. What did Epstein get paid for his efforts. That is the important question. And everyone seems to not care about that.

Thanks for posting the link. I skimmed thru it and there’s a lot I can adopt as my expectations for my wife to follow as she maintains our house.🤗

Just kidding … my wife sets those expectations and I know better than to offer suggestions on them.🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Good you made this statement. I was going to offer you my flame suit but I don’t think you are my size.

It seems like all the folks talking to the media about how rough they might have been treated are not actually witnesses in the trial. So, yeah, still waiting for “the beef.”

Wow! Very thorough. I don’t have a problem with what I’ve read so far. It’s behind the scenes that I have problems, and the ‘behind the scenes’ stuff is what I want to read.

The rules take advantage of their ‘position. Very pampered. They were living the high life. I wish I could find my reading glasses... .

I didn’t see any smoking guns mentioned in the article.
Didn’t see anything really degrading either, except being ordered to say “It was completely my fault, and I’ll take care of it.”

You used the expression “message parlor”. Twice. What kind of vice that might be?

60 degrees for a/c?! Were they trying to slow the aging process?

Oh wait. That's Van Halen.

There was actually a very good reason for that. To make sure the promoter read the contract, particularly the parts about electrical requirements.

If they found brown M&Ms, they knew right off the bat that the contract wasn't read and they'd have to have one of their stagehands ensure that there would be sufficient power, outlets, etc.
