I used to live on Venice Beach, on the Boardwalk. Not luxurious. Used to be safe. I’d walk down the Boardwalk to the playground, with my kids.

I lived on Catamaran in MDR, my kids walked down that beach every morning to SamoHi. They’d be dead in three days if they did that now. Beautiful beach though.
