Regardless of political affiliations, I hate charges like this.

Back in 2005 there was an employee at my plant who was divorced from a nutcase but had custody of his young daughter

The ex-wife conspired with the daughter's young girlfriend to accuse him of molesting her. He was arrested, arraigned and thrown in jail. During the arraignment, the female judge actually called him a predatory monster with no evidence he actually did what he was accused of.

Eventually the girl admitted she lied but Andy was never the same.

“Eventually the girl admitted she lied but Andy was never the same.”

I know two men who were run through the wringer by the “justice system.”
One was a prominent local photographer, divorced, father of two young girls. One day the police show up at his house, also where his studio was, throw him against the wall, cuff him and throw him into the back of a cruiser while deputies pack up every camera, roll of film and computer.
It seems somehow some nude photos of his young daughters in very provocative poses found their way into mom’s hands.
So this man sits in jail for a year while the state builds its case. He loses his business, his home/studio, his friends, everything.
Finally he gets to court and it comes out that he never took the pictures in question.
Well who did?
The girls themselves!
Where would such nice young ladies get the idea that they should take such pictures. Surely daddy told them to.
No, they got the idea from STEP-DADDIES “art” books. The art books named Playboy and Penthouse.

Another man had two teenagers report that he had sexually abused them. One a 15 year old boy and the other a 14 year old girl. A year later in court the boy admits the whole thing was made up.
Why?
The man’s ex-wife offered them money to testify against him. Seeing him in court neither of the kids could go through with it. He had been nothing but nice to them.

In both cases the men were exonerated in the end. But for many people there will always be a question.
