See post 17. From my standpoint, the loss of human rights in the USA is far worse than Oz. We both have severe problems, but right now your Federal Justice system and Judicial system is looking much like Germany before WWII. You have people locked up in solitary confinement, barely represented, not able to see their relatives and being intimated to bleed guilty for minor trespassing violations. And then when convicted give ridiculous sentences.

You have the Justice department investigating parents protesting at School Board meetings and calling them domestic terrorists.

The US is under occupation by a kleptocracy—so I am not going to defend any policy by those sleazeballs.

They are as alien to me as little green men from Mars—we have no values in common.

The difference seems to be that many Australians try to find excuses for their government trespasses on their liberties—I (and I believe many if not most Americans—depends on who is counting) make no such excuses for our home grown tyrants.
