With all due respect to Vermont freepers, please consider the following.

Justice Louis Brandeis had volunteered his "laboratories of democracy" metaphor to encourage each state to use their 10th Amendment powers to experiment with different remedies for social and economic problems.

"[...] a single courageous State may, if its citizens choose, serve as a laboratory; and try novel social and economic experiments without risk to the rest of the country." —Justice Louis Brandeis, Laboratories of Democracy.

States with poor experimental results would then look over the shoulders of states with good results and borrow from their insight for successfully dealing with a problem.

Florida has the lowest Covid rate in USA… And it just dropped 53 percent more… (11.30.21)

But when the "leaders" of a state with bad results ignore the successful results of another state, then it is probably time for the people of that state to elect a new government.

In other words, social Darwinism trumps 10th Amendment-protected state powers imo.

Except this doesn't really work anymore. Now when any Dem initiative fails, they just blame it on all the surrounding States that didn't participate in the experiment.
