Riding dragons.
At first I thought I just felt that way because I think Baldwin is scum.
But now I wonder if my first instinct was correct.
He actually meant and planned to kill her.
give him time.. He’ll have Trump pulling the trigger.
“I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them. Never.”
Rule 1: all guns are always loaded. [Baldwin did not act accordingly.]
Rule 2: never point a gun at anything you’re not willing to destroy. [He pointed it at a person without reason.]
That’s 2 rules already violated without involving a trigger.
Rule 3: keep finger off the trigger until sights are on target. (AKA keep your booger hook off the bang switch until ready to bring the pain.) [Guns don’t just go off, have to pull trigger.]
Unless dropping a gun in bad mechanical shape, it’s not gonna go off without manipulation to make it fire.
Rule 4: know your target and what’s beyond. [Someone was behind the first target hit, and also got hit.]
He blew all 4 rules, all designed so if you violate one safety still reigns. And now he’s getting his lying story together.
Nor do they know the difference between a a blank and dummy cartridge. Notice that the assistant director that handed Balwin the revolver said that the armorer "opened the hatch" and spun "the drum" for him to show it wasn't loaded. Open the hatch? Spun the drum? You mean opened the loading gate and rotated the cylinder?
Come on man! People don't kill people, guns do. Guns are evil. So are trucks and SUV’s. But bats, hammers, and knives, oh, and skateboards are OK.
“He’s taking this stance because he knows he’s guilty but so far, no one can prove it.”
He’s admitting the gun fired in his hand. There’s a dead body. At least 3 of The Four Rules were violated, and no extenuating circumstance/evidence the remainder didn’t apply (no evidence of freak malfunction).
The Bart Simpson Defense (”I didn’t do it, nobody saw me do it, you can’t prove anything”) doesn’t work.
Having a real loaded cartridge on the set was a huge error, but filmmakers have been using real guns in movies for a over 100 years now. They are normally loaded with blanks that go bang and smoke when you pull the trigger but no projectile (bullet) is expelled. You can't use fake rubber guns for everything except throwing at Superman.
It was a single-action revolver. Maybe it was windy that day and they had the windows open. I mean, it cou......NAHHHH
He is losing his mind. Either that or this is a story for the ages. Such a mystery that a movie might just be made of this one day.
Every bullet has a lawyer attached to it. Im think the inquiry might not be in agreement...
I thought about this right after it occurred...
EXCEPT...
if the pistol was actually an antique single action 6-shot revolver.
Those old shootin’irons had a reputation of shooting if bumped, dropped, or jarred when fully loaded.
The standard workaround was to keep an empty chamber under the hammer.
Later design changes solved that problem.
But.... I don’t have enough information on the weapon to even make that assertion. But someone might.
Took him six weeks to come up with that story.
If he’s trying to float the idea that the firearm malfunctioned it will take a firearms expert less than six minutes to annihilate his story.
Bruce Jenner doesn’t exist anymore - it’s “Caitlin” now and “Caitlin” cannot be held responsible for something someone else did. What a strange world we live in
“I think this gun requires the hammer to be pulled back first before it can fire a bullet.”
The revolver is capable of firing without pulling the trigger if you release (drop) the hammer before full lockup. I just tested it.
From “Always be closing” to “Always be lying.” ....Coffee’s for closers fool.
Those old shootin’irons had a reputation of shooting if bumped, dropped, or jarred when fully loaded.
It wasn't an antique though they used to use original firearms in movies. Since the 1960s, most film makers have used replicas made in Italy. The one Baldwin had was a new replica made by Italian gun-maker Pietta. They and Uberti produce dozens of replica versions of Old West firearms from pocket pistols to revolvers to rifles of all kinds.
Hello Alec, we did not believe the magic bullet in the Kennedy Assassination either.....
BS.
Single action revolvers have to be cocked and the trigger pulled to go off.
