NEW YORK (AP) — Alec Baldwin told ABC's George Stephanopoulos in an interview airing Thursday that he did not pull the trigger on a prop gun he was holding on a New Mexico film set when it went off, killing a cinematographer.
"I didn't pull the trigger," Baldwin said. "I would never point a gun at anyone and pull the trigger at them. Never."

His profession is acting. Here, he is acting innocent.
Probably. But Bruce also got off scot free.
Alec, you’re not that good of an actor to pull this whopper off.
A standard unmodified double-action revolver has a trigger pull of 10+ pounds. This is not something that fires by accident.
Guns kill people,
pencils misspell words,
cars drive drunk,
& spoons make you fat.
Is there a video of it? No.
Witnesses? His word against theirs.
He's taking this stance because he knows he's guilty but so far, no one can prove it.
“I didn’t pull the trigger,” Baldwin said. “I would never point a gun at
anyone and pull the trigger at them. Never.”

Ah, so it’s to be an insanity defense!
~Easy
Baldwin is such a cartoon. I think this gun requires the hammer to be pulled back first before it can fire a bullet.
Wow. Good luck with this defense.......
Reminds me of a story about a guy who accidentally shot his wife. Twice.
Hey Alec, claim you are a patsy like Oswald and that you never had sex with that pistol, nicknamed Miss Lewinsky and that 81 million fans following you also believe your story!
Alec Baldwin has just telegraphed the disgusting farce that’s coming.
Baldwin’s defense will be that the gun went off spontaneously, either because of a malfunction or tampering — he doesn’t know which and that’s the police’s job to figure out. His lawyer will argue that the prosecution has to prove that couldn’t possibly have happened. A jury of imbeciles will fall for the idea that this creates reasonable doubt. Baldwin will sue the manufacturer, importer, distributor, and retailer, and anyone who ever touched the revolver.
He’s a Democrat from bark to core.
And Bill Clinton didn’t inhale.
Got to wonder if the story will be he placed the the weapon on the table and it loaded itself, the wind pointed it at people, pulled back the hammer and gave the the trigger a pull.
In a single-action revolver, the hammer is manually cocked, usually with the thumb of the firing or supporting hand. This action advances the cylinder to the next round and locks the cylinder in place with the chamber aligned with the barrel. The trigger, when pulled, releases the hammer, which fires the round in the chamber. To fire again, the hammer must be manually cocked again. This is called “single-action” because the trigger only performs a single action, of releasing the hammer. Because only a single action is performed and trigger pull is lightened, firing a revolver in this way allows most shooters to achieve greater accuracy.
What a liar.
why would they have a real gun on a movie set?? why would they have a real bullet on set?
bullet not supposed to be on set: Check
bullet not supposed to be in gun: Check
points gun at director without direction: Check
gun just happens to go off all by itself: SORRY, that’s a coincidence too far...
It was caused by the excessive Heat that day. That one Chamber was in the Direct Sunlight and it overheated the round and made it go BANG !!!!!!
Well then you did it right. You squeezed the trigger to stay on target.
