I hear it all the time here. Mostly under-35, both women and men. Not only “impohr-ent”, but lots of words with Ts (normally) in the middle. “Ki’ens”, “moun’ain”, “bu’er”, and so on...

People here in south FL are from everywhere imaginable, so I suppose there’s a lot of cross-pollination. No idea how it got started, but it is distracting. However, when you think about it, we’ve been doing the same thing for years and nobody notices when we leave the T sound out of “often”, or when we say “twenny” or “innernet”.
