Lol ya - salt is a poor substitute for sugar! That would have been awful. Slices should be not too thin, but not too thick. I just slice it as if I’m giving pieces to a one-year old.
It was SO bad - it was Thanksgiving and the person who tried it first was a girl my son was dating. She was too nice to say anything, but she whispered to my son. He was like, “Um, mom? There’s a problem with the pie”
