LOL.....thought you were lost. How nice, though, to ask. No, in CA, and, probably ANY major city, this would rarely happen!
Our area is friendly like that, too....for the most part.
Although, I mentioned something to hubby the other day, and, now he is noticing it, too.
We have to drive in to *town*, for work, (big) shopping, etc.....which, the closest big town, to us, is a suburb. I counted about 30 paper plates, on OLDER cars, just in one day, recently. He is now noticing these same paper plates, on older cars, too. Like....a LOT of them.
I’m not 100% sure....but...I think these are temporary plates, for people who’ve moved here, from out of state. 😱
Wondering if anyone else, in red states, is noticing this phenomenon, too.
I guess it could just be a LOT of people buying older, used cars, all at once, in our area, but, I think most lots are sort of sparse. Interesting, none the less.

Now that I know what you mean, LOL. I was trying to figure out where one would put a paper plate you eat on in a car. And why!
