Living in a country established to protect natural rights. The only one. :)
You can argue with the policy of closing our border to all overseas people in the beginning (I remember when Trump did it with China, there were lot of people on FR advocating he do the same thing in the USA), but let's face it you cannot even keep hundreds of thousand of people illegally coming into the USA. I personally was against closing our borders. When people starting coming back, they had to stay in quarantine for 14 days, that was their choice if they came into Australia.
Now for the aboriginal people, there is a very small community where the Covid broke out and, as I explained, the only reason the military was used is that they were there and the NT is so small in population, is that they barely have a police force. Granted, you can argue that police/military should not been used to help control the situation. Most of those people can leave the facilities, many don't want to because the facilities are so much better than they live. The are containing those who have the covid that could endanger their community, but can go back. This is hardly a concentration camp or internment camp.
What you in America are doing to your people for trespassing on the capital grounds, no bail, is not protecting natural rights....solitary confinement, little representation, cannot talk to their relatives, and when convicted given tougher sentences than the USA gives to rioters.
So I believe things are so bad in the USA right now, many people are looking for scapegoats, that they can use. Things for sure are not perfect here and we have a lot of things that must be improved, but I would much prefer to live in Australia which is currently much more free than the USA.
