I had it in May. Fatigue, coughing, headache, stuffy nose, and diarrhea. I didn’t lose my sense of taste or smell, but everything tasted or smelled ‘off’. 4 days after I was diagnosed, I received the monoclonal injection therapy (Regeneron), and within 2 days I was SO much better. I still had chest tightness for the next couple of weeks before I felt completely back to normal.
My wife caught it soon after I did. She actually passed out in the shower. I called the ambulance for her and she went to the ER. She was back home that afternoon. For whatever reason, she didn’t get Regeneron. Her symptoms lasted a week longer than mine.
All 4 of my kids got it as well, but none of theirs was very severe, and they were through it in about a week.
The funny (or perhaps horrifying) thing that happened involved my 20-year-old disabled daughter. As a VERY over-simplified explanation, she has a grown-up body, but she has a genetic condition (Phelan-McDermid Syndrome) where she has the mind of a 2-year-old. She also has a tendency to get into things we think she can’t get into. And, she will eat pretty much anything.
Near the end of my bout with COVID, a friend brought over 2 tubes of Ivermectin. We put them in a place where they were safe...or so we thought. Five days later, I found our daughter sitting with one of the tubes in her hand. Somehow, she had found it and had EATEN THE WHOLE DAMNED THING, just sucked it right out of the tube. I called 911 and they took her to the ER (I rode with her in the ambulance). She never got sick, she never had any of the symptoms that the poison control center said she could have (including death from an overdose), and as far as she was concerned, by the grace of Almighty God, nothing happened. They released her and we went back home. It scared the heck out of me.
Glad all went ok for her!
How old are the other children? Actually children or adults?
This was no big deal. To me, people stocking up on alternatives like ivermectin and Zinc etc is paranoia fueled by the “Black Plague” belief of liberal opportunists.
IOW, they are buying into the narrative that this is the Black Plague. It’s not.
