So 475,000 cases of dementia occur every year in people over 65. But only 66% of seniors get vaccinated for flu. so assuming dimentia cases arfe spread evenly, that's 313,500 cases in people who got vaccinated.
Assuming that flu vaccinations occur once per year. And assuming the 313,750 cases are spread evenly throughout the year. That would be about 2 months/ 12 months * 313,500 cases. or approximately 52,250 cases of dementia in the 60 days following a flu shot.
Since we aren't seeing anything like that in the vaers database, I think it's safe to assume that medical doctors are assuming dementia is not an adverse reaction to the flu shot and not reporting it as such.
Covid vaccines are new and using a new technology. So I believe it's getting more reporting of events following vaccinations than the flu vaccine is. But I think most doctors are still assuming dementia is not related. Or we would be seeing much higher numbers reported for covid vaccines as well.
The covid vaccines are known to cause blood clotting and cardiovascular damage. If there are 100 cases as reported by Kirsch in 200 million vaccinations, that's 1 in a million. Which is less than the known 4 to 5 in a million risk of a severe blood clot issue.
So maybe this adds an additional risk factor, but I've not seen any evidence the covid vaccine is worse or even close to the damage caused by covid disease itself. The risks for the vaccines are by no means zero, but are still small relative to covid disease.
