I call BULLSHIRT on this story!
Awe, thanks but I am in the CLE area and my holiday schedule is already filling up with furry friends and muddy paws.
My mom was a nurse. She always worked holidays to give younger nurses the chance to be with family
I always cooked a big meal and took it to the hospital for the staff to eat on their breaks
My local community center has a meal for us oldsters to attend. It’s a chance to meet folks I haven’t known before
Like the line Trump told his son
NOW WE FIND OUT WHO OUR FRIENS ARE.
The sickness runs deep...
Government schools have done their primary job magnificently...
As Glenn Beck noted years ago, just stick with wishing everyone a “Happy Chana-Rama-Kwanz-Mas” and you’ll be just fine. Cheers!
Thank you for being the one to show up.
Same thing happened to my son who has Asbergers. Invite the whole class. Bought pizzas, cakes, goodie bags, had a pool party. Had an RSVP number on the invite and a few patents responded.
Only one child showed up.
At first my son was crushed, but when that one young boy arrived, it brightened his entire day. They had a blast, ate like kings, and the young boy said it was the best birthday party he ever went to.
When it was his birthday, he included my son. Low and behold, Justin was the only one to show up. Like before,, they had s blast. I dropped a $100 gift card on that kid. He was ecstatic.
Moving forward, I didn’t hold parties. I had my son pick one or two friends and took them out to arcades, entertainment zones, etc., whatever they wanted, and they stayed friends with my son to this day.
Having been on the receiving end of it, I made sure my children always went to parties when they were invited.
This came to mind immediately.
Thanks for posting it.
No offense but that was painful to read. I’m glad it all worked out.
What I remember was that the boy didn’t seem very upset about it, but I really felt terrible for his mother.
She seemed very sad.
Did she tell anyone about it?
She needs a better class of friends.
Internet friends are not the same as real friends.
For several years I traveled with the kids on Christmas Day and ate breakfast at a Waffle House where we always left the waitress an obscenely large tip just because it was Christmas.
God bless you. Have a Merry Christmas.
