I think all police everywhere would be very wise to do this. Demonstrate that they are on the people’s side for whenever this thing totally erupts. Either that or else just stand aside, put their weapons down, and keep their mouths shut. Staying away from rightfully enraged and desperate people altogether, especially when in uniform would also be a wise suggestion. Soon people will have nothing left to lose and when that happens, authoritarian figures everywhere will regret the day they signed up for that kind of work.
Obviously, these are “huddled masses yearning to be free.” We need them and they need us. So when are we sending moving trucks?
