Just days before a string of high-end robberies targeting Union Square rattled the Bay Area, an apparent burglary at a San Francisco cannabis dispensary was seemingly not stopped by police at the scene.

Wow. No thought of the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers has crossed my mind in decades.
Their prototypes are mayors of Dem cities or are in Congress or are aides in the White House now. Sign on the grassy area bordering an actual city street said “Great Dope Deals.”
At one time police would have gone into the hippie crash pad and made arrests. Now legal pot dealers compete like shoe stores.
When the members of Canned Heat were arrested at home once, a polite police officer said to a girl in the bedroom. “Your choice of friends isn’t so great but we’re not taking you in. You get to eat your big chocolate bar by yourself, miss.”
He referred to an open foil wrapped bar of potent hashish on the dresser. Didn’t recognize it.

I was never into pot. But I did enjoy the Freak Brothers comic books. My favorite character was Detective Tricky Prickears.
Funny how I can remember even the minor characters from that series. And that was like 40 years ago. But I have no idea where I put my car keys from last night.
It’s happening everywhere. Long-time friends have disappeared but new friends have replaced them. I wouldn’t give a can of expired beans to my former friends I’ve known for 45 years.
