California smash-and-grab thieves were back at it on Friday — with one crew hitting up a Home Depot to steal sledgehammers, crowbars and other tools, authorities said.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said the Lakewood store’s entire hammer section had been cleared out by the mob of eight during the robbery, which took place at around 7:45 p.m. local time, Fox 11 reported.

Stocking up on tools for the crew.
Gotta steal your work tools first.
when this happens shouldnt all the customers just fill up their carts and roll them out to their cars?
Letting me do self-checkout at Walmart is a bad idea. I’m not a thief, but I’m a horrible cashier. Maybe they should have given me training before they set me loose with a scanner.
They just wanted to hammer in the mornin’
A new species known as carpenter thieves. Their cousins, carpenter bees, like to drill holes in wood.
I wonder what they plan on doing with sledgehammers and crowbars? Are they planning on repairing grandma’s old shed?
Maybe they will return to Home Depot to steal the nails they will need for the repair phase of their home improvement project.

Maybe they are going to altruistically repair sections of light rail track in their communities.
(If I had a hammer)
My guess is, They are going to start hitting ATM’s. You betcha.
Notice they aren’t stealing work boots, nails, screws, hinges, sandpaper, varnish, or anything that looks like they might actually build or repair anything.
And, this crap will continue until these assclowns are faced with the very real possibility of being left in pools of their own blood.
Feral animals who have never had the benefit of good parenting are now continuing their tantrums and it’s beyond a tap on the butt or a ‘timeout’...
These vile creatures should be treated like the vermin they are.
Won’t take too many. The herd will get the picture.
At what point does the state figure out how much they’re losing in taxes and find a way to make this stop?.
In our new upside down world, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some social justice law group sue Home Depot for facilitating these crimes.
In their defense, much less paperwork than just renting the tools.
What you’re seeing now is the downside of technology. It used to be that only the cops had effective mobile communications, but now LaHood does too, and they’re getting better and better at using those communications. And even if the proper penalties are restored, the mobs will simply get so big that 99% of those people will get away away with their crimes.
So stores will have to respond, and the days of shopping as we know it will soon be over. Just another step in their promised ‘transformation’ of our society.
