I rode a dirt bike once, in the Everglades along a berme...the alligators were eager for me to tip over, but I disappointed them! LOL.

I enjoyed the ride, but I prefer the road.

All good. I grew up riding dirt bikes. Rode street bikes throughout my young adult life. Never wrecked my street bikes, but had some AMAZINGLY crazy close calls. Wrecked a lot of dirt bikes. The dirt bike experience kept me alive on the street. Now I’ve promised the wife no more street bikes. I’m lucky though, cause I can rip through the woods pastures and groves on my yz450. Yes dear, I’ll stick to boats and dirt bikes lol. Hitting the rev limiter in 5th gear is prolly 80 plus mph and fills the need amazingly.

As far as street bikes go, it’s the same as dirt bikes. There are only 2 types of riders: Those have gone down, and those who will.

Loved hitting the open road back in the day, but I’ll take my compromise

Still recovering from a bruised rib after launching my 450 into the bushes nearly a month ago. Can’t imagine how I’d be hurting if I’d thrown down a big street bike on the asphalt.

Still, I’m ready to go. 5th gear wheelies?

Just remember, when you’re drifting through a corner because of unexpected gravel dirt or leaves in the road, Dern it, shoulda spent more time in the dirt 😎
