Imagine that you're a firefighter, with 25 years of service...

Imagine that you've sometimes had to risk your life. That you've sometimes been ordered to risk your life.

Imagine the emotional trauma you've endured when recovering the bodies of dead children from burnt-out buildings.

Imagine all the times you've shown up for work, and worked hard, even though you were feeling low, had back pains, or were going through, e.g., a difficult divorce.

Now imagine being handed an impertinent letter imperiously informing you that you had to submit to an experimental injection or would be thrown out on your ear, with your pension benefits severely impacted.

I, too, can understand this man's sentiment, and there might have been "smarter" ways to deal with this unlawful order, but I wouldn't judge him until I had walked a mile in his boots.

If he would have done as you suggest no one would have ever heard about it. He did the right thing. Obviously he didn’t care if they fired him or not and he had the balls to do something that really needed to be done. Hopefully it will spread. God bless the man.
