An innocent jogger with a bit of curiosity. I didn't see him take anything from the house. We went and looked when we were kids...It was just cool to see the shell. He was an innocent jogger. Get over it. Sure. Everyone knows that "innocent jogers" with past criminal records out on probation going through houses in the dark of night are just out for a jog.

Defense lawyer will say jury intimidated because riots would ensue if found not guilty. On another website that does legal commentary, the lawyer said the defense has made a motion for a mistrial because the Prosecution deliberately misstated the correct meaning of the state statute on both "citizen arrest" and "self defense."
The lawyer said these issues would form the basis for appeal.

He shot and killed the two guys who turned out to be illegals from Colombia. He was eventually either not charged or found not guilty, but the instructor said the old guy probably burned through a lot of his life savings in order to keep from going to jail. Our instructor warned us that if we are going to carry a gun for self defense we need to avoid situations like that of the old man. I'm sure he'll be using the Arbery case as an example in the future. Sounds like an indictment of a failed system of justice. I've often pointed out the only sort of "equality" the constitution guarantees is equal application of the law, but the rich can hire great lawyers to get them off while the poor cannot, and therefore we have a very unequal system of justice.
All lawyers should be paid for by the government so that people don't have to go bankrupt to defend themselves.

But this guy, he jumped in a car to follow, and did nothing but film. The victim actually hit his truck, and he did nothing. When they finally stopped, he was backing out, he was nowhere near the shooting. This alone ought to tell a reasonable person this process was utter garbage.

Did they find anything he’d looted over the past months when they claimed he was looting? Did they even look? Did somebody get a search warrant for his residence? I very greatly doubt it.
Point here is he could have stolen a bunch of stuff, and nobody is bothering to look at whether he did or didn't.
He did have a history of stealing, and at the time he was shot he was out on probation for stealing a television from Walmart.
The stuff that was stolen was $2,500.00 of fishing gear and a 9mm handgun. Somehow I don't see them finding that stuff at Arbery's residence even if they did get a search warrant to look for it, which I am pretty sure they did not do because the guy was dead.

Not over until it’s over I guess. Maybe a riot would settle it all.

I believe this jury and Kyle’s jury came to the right and just conclusions. JMHOWithout investing lots of time in reading all the accounts, that agrees with my assessment, too.
