The West Palm Beach Market is in such an oversupply of condominiums the prices are sweet for buying. I looked at Jupiter, Boca Raton, Jensen, Vero Beach, and hands down, checkbook out, West Palm Beach is the best value for the dollar, amenities, medical facilities, retail locations, and reasonable taxes.
Not a bad area, I have a cousin there. But after the Miami condo collapse I'm leary of suddden condo assessments. A friend in Deerfield just got socked with a huge one.
Condos have significant risks attached to them.
Make sure you fully understand all the risks—and the fine print to any condo agreement—before you buy. That means hiring an attorney with an expertise in local condos.
