Thinking along those lines last week, i queried my local purveyor of spirits as to which might be the most popular and, therefore, the best to stock up on for barter purposes.
His answer surprised me because i cannot imagine anyone drinking that particular brand, let alone trading for it. Apparently however here on the island it is Black Velvet in liters. This is incomprehensible to me. I will be ordering a case of something a bit more likely based on national popularity.
Jack Daniels is the number one selling whiskey in America. Even though I do not particularly care for it, I will probably buy a case for trading.
I much prefer the number two, three and four selling whiskeys on the list
As for size, 750ml glass bottles seems right to me.
