I still remember it like it was yesterday...I was in grade-school in the gym when they announced it.
Would have been 104 today.
5th grade.
Remember it well.
It was only now when I started paying bills online that I noticed the date. I haven’t seen much TV today but hadn’t heard anyone bring it up. Remember the day well but who doesn’t? Wish we had the same kind of democrat in office today. I voted for him and probably the last time I voted democrat.
I was a high school freshman...Laid out of school that day and was watching TV when Walter Cronkite broke in and announced it...
I did a search before I posted this and was shocked nobody had said anything earlier about it....
I remember it was a Friday...Lee Harvey Oswald was killed by Jack Ruby on Sunday and I was watching TV when that happened also...

I guess other topics are taking priority. I would have thought it would have had some mention earlier - here or radio or TV...Thank you for posting... No one who lived through the sixties will forget them but IMO they weren’t as bad as things are now. We’re bombarded with idiocy and nonsense at every turn...

I was in 5th Grade too. I remember the Principal coming in and whispering to the teacher, who then announced it to the class. My family were Republicans, but it was deeply shocking to all of us. Little did we know what awfulness the rest of the 60’s and 70’s had in store for us . . .
I’d vote for Kennedy or Black Beard any day over this current scum administration.

At the time I was a young fetus in my mother's womb.
She heard it on the radio as she was mopping the kitchen floor, she said.
Her mother immediately called her to make sure she didn't get too upset.
And that is all I (don't) remember.
Sobering “Conspiracy Day” to all of us. Reading a 1989 JFK assasination book just now. The authors speaks of “the inner government.” Sounds contemporary?
He was an anti-communist, killed by a communist. How many kids in high school today know that?
