I have heard credible stories myself and have seen enough of the paranormal with my own eyes to credit even the stories from people I do not know.
I do not believe these are tangible, physical animals however. It’s something else and weirder. “Dog Man” is another example of this weird phenomena.
I believe they are flesh and blood and can and have been killed. A few years past I had devised several plans to try to take one from either of 2 spots I know they frequent, however I now think they are human hybrid and killing is quite out of the question.
All we have are theories. YMMV.
PS, I try to use the bible as my roadmap for making sense of the world around me and that is how I have tried to make sense of these beings.
Genesis 6 mentions nephilim as part of the reason for the great flood, however one of Noahs son-in-laws seems to have carried some nephilim dna onto the ark which eventually lead to the race of giants the Israelite spies reported on the other side of the Jordon, as well as Goliath etc.
The paranormal activity often reported accompanying sightings I attribute to demonic influence.
As a blood bought born again pew jumping Christian I am not afraid of demons, and I don't believe even a 10 foot 800 pound person can withstand too many of my .308 rounds
