This year I’m doing green beans in German potato salad style.. Fry some bacon. Remove the bacon from the grease. Saute the onions and green beans in the bacon grease. Crumble in the bacon, add balsamic vinegar and sugar.

That traditional dish grosses me out. Too slimy for me. I do love the fried onions on top, though!
