The “Jethro” reference sounds like it’s making fun of the DA by calling him “Jethro Bodine”, the character that Max Baer Jr played brilliantly on the’60’s sitcom “The Beverly Hillbillies”.

Just a guess....and considering this DA’s intelligence level, it’s a good match.

Thanks. I immediately thought of Jethro on the Beverly Hillbillies as well as Jethro Tull. I didn’t connect “Bodine” with “Boudin,” thought.

Now it is clear and a very apt reference.
