Yes, legally there is a limit. You cannot deny service to an individual based on a protected class argument. For example, veteran status is a federal protected class. So no business can legally put up a sign saying “No veterans will be served”.
Race is another protected class. There are others.
Some conservatives think the whole “protected class” thing is too much of an infringement on property rights. I don’t quite buy that argument, but I do see some merit in it. So it’s a head scratcher for me.
You should take a civics class and learn that private property right begin with the person and not the business. A business has no special protections. People do.
