Something kind of like this once happened to my grandfather.

My grandparents lived a few blocks from a cannery and liked to sit on their front porch (they never had a TV) and watch the traffic go by. One time a crate of tomatoes fell off one of the trucks and my grandfather went down and helped himself to some tomatoes.
