Agreed, but it will happen. But the trial should be as painful and embarrassing to the criminals family as possible.

It goes to intent — did the criminals intend to kill Rittenhouse. If they are violent and brutal, then it will help prove that they had intended to kill Rittenhouse and Rittenhouse had no choice.
