What more needs to be known other than, “Stay the hell away from Starbucks”?

Haven't been in one in about 5 years. I've seen some really smart and diligent workers there, and I've seen some real losers. I stopped going there when I realize it was all a crap-shoot.

When I feel like spending a lot of money on coffee, I go to a local bakery shop, where their barrista is part-owner and is a true professional. Local, local, local.

The only Starbuck's I have been to...ever...was in...ummm...1990? It is a restaurant in Hyannis MA on Cape Cod. A really nice place that has NOTHING to do with the Liberal Fascist type "coffee" emporium. We found it strolling the downtown area looking for a place to eat.

Yep. I live in a college town. Lots of independent coffee shops. Better coffee than Starbucks and less expensive.
