"Was watching TV just now and Bonanza ended and then the above was on the screen for like 15 seconds and then the next show that started was GUNSMOKE !!! "

I remember as a kid, before we got TV, that the whole family gathered around the radio to listen to Gunsmoke.

Another of my favorites was Johnny Dollar

Johnny Dollar is played regularly on XM Classic Radio (#148). My favorite is Burns and Allen, though. Listening to that, there was a lame joke about a colored version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde called Dr. Amos and Mr. Andy. No warning on that station.

We are getting old, bro. I remember Gunsmoke on radio as well as the Jack Benny program, which was hilarious.

For some strange reason, my friends and I on weekends would ride our bikes over to a local junkyard, find a car whose radio still worked and listen to The Shadow. Maybe it was more mysterious that way or just plain weird for 10 year olds.

The Bob Bailey ones are the best Johnny Dollar episodes.
