WASHINGTON -- President Joe Biden said Thursday that the United States was considering a diplomatic boycott of next year's Winter Olympics in Beijing over China's human rights abuses, a move that would keep American dignitaries, but not athletes, from the Games.
Speaking to reporters as he hosted Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in the Oval Office, Biden said backing a boycott of the Olympics in February is "something we're considering."

I understand that due to their strict covid lock-downs, china has already declared no non-essential personnel may attend the olympics (ie. athletes, coaches and reduced media only)
If true it would make a diplomatic boycott a silly point anyway.

At this point, China is essentially a closed nation. The only way we can get there if we endure a 21 day quarantine at a hotel and we pass COVID-19 testing.
It’s a half-hearted boycott. Diplomats stay home, but athletes may attend.
At least President Carter’s boycott was a real boycott.
The Olympics have long been corrupt so I’ve had my own boycott going on. The real question is what will Xi let his puppet Xiden do? Democrats have many fake enemies (like China and inflation), but a new actual target is the Congressional Budget Office. I read an article over at Townhall about how, “CBO Releases Cost of Biden’s Budget... It’s Not Zero”, so give that a look. “Since math is ‘racist’ and CBO uses it they are racist too.” —democRATs. It’s only a matter of time before they shut that department down. Either way it’s more interesting to watch than athletes disrespecting your anthem/flag.
Biden will only do what Xi allowed him to. Joe was prepaid for the damage he now does to America via Hunter over the last few years. China owns him.
So what? Do you care? I don’t. The Olympics are a woke joke and full on corrupt anyway. They exist to sell products on TV now.
