Aren’t the wild ones edible? Lot’s of people i HK. Saving them for the Chicom takeover?
The Chinese eat anything. We may have a solution to the Chinese pork shortage.
Smaller ones up to 150 pounds or so are edible. Beyond that they get tough and gamey-tasting as I understand it.
I’d like to spend a few days hunting them someplace where they’re plentiful and a nuisance. I’m in Wisconsin and we don’t have any in these parts as far as I know.
